Las Vegas,

the last frontier for sinners,

where decadence and lust

have met their match.

Morality you won't find there,

 it is a playground for the id.

The pleasure principle,

alive and well in Vegas,

It beckons us with its seductive bid.

The smoky rooms

of yesterday's casinos

have given rise

to Elvis, Bugsy and Sinatra,

whose legacy is felt

on the colossal and corruptive strip.

And so, some win, some lose,

And most go home with memories

And souvenirs to fill their rooms.

What stays in Vegas are our money, laughter, shows

And we come back some time later

Hoping for the jackpot to repeat.
